Description
Mitigation of physical safety hazards (PSH) associated with abandoned mine land (AML) sites by means of physical barriers and closures of mine shafts, portals and adits and support tasks to accomplish the above hazard mitigation such as AML site characterization and inventory services. Physical barriers and closure methods/structures include: fencing and signs, earthen backfill, polyurethane foam plugs, culverts, bat gates and cupolas. Physical safety hazard mitigation/remediation entails labor, supplies, equipment etc., which results in a tangible and inspectable product.
