Description

The purpose of this program is to provide expert guidance and technical assistance (TA) to the Tanzania National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS) in the mainland as well as Zanzibar, to strengthen and expand the provision of a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood products to hospitals and other health facilities. The ultimate goal is a sustainable blood program with continued, high-quality and evidence based interventions through local and indigenous organizations in collaboration with the Tanzania Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW).
