This is a Request for Information (RFI). The Department of Energy's Wind and Hydropower Technology Program and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration are requesting information on opportunities for demonstrating and evaluating improved short term wind energy forecasting and its applications. Interested parties may include, but are not limited to: developers, investors, industry, Native American Tribes, renewable energy equipment suppliers, electric utilities, independent system operators, regional transmission organizations, independent power producers, instrument manufacturers, wind power forecasters, environmentalists, academics, and public, private, or non-profit entities.
