Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces the availability of Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 funds for a cooperative agreement program for research aimed at developing and evaluating more sensitive and specific laboratory diagnostic tests for Lyme borreliosis. The purpose of the program is to bring into clinical practice laboratory tests that are superior to two-tiered serologic testing in their utility for diagnosing Lyme borreliosis and are capable of distinguishing active from prior infection.
