Description

CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Technical Assistance to Strengthen Blood Safety of the Ministry of Health in the Central Asian Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).” Approximately $5,000,000 will be available in fiscal year 2010 to fund one award. The purpose of this program is to provide technical assistance to the Central Asian Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to ensure safe and adequate blood supply as well as to develop and implement a national safe blood system.
