ArchivedCenters for Disease Control and Prevention
Description
The purpose of this program is to support a comprehensive Peer Education Program linked with services targeting uniformed services and Addis Ababa University (AAU) students and support the 15 established and 10 potential new AIDS Resource Centers (ARCs) throughout the country. Following the results of the Modeling and Reinforcement to Combat HIV/AIDS (MARCH) Evaluation to be conducted in 2010, a revised MARCH strategy encompassing modeling through print serial drama (entertainment) and outreach activities to reinforce the behavior change, will continue to be implemented in all commands of the National Defense Force of Ethiopia (NDFE), Federal Police members, and AAU. This awardee will support the local indigenous partners through capacity building in planning, management and monitoring of such behavior change communication (BCC) and health promotion projects, as well as support the design, development of the print serial drama, and standardization of interventions.
