Description

The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) intends to issue a Notice of Intent for a Cooperative Agreements (CESU # 3FC810873) to University of California, Davis, under the authority of catalog for domestic assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575, Section 3406(b)(1), for the following program: Delta Smelt Refugium and Recovery Investigation. BOR proposes to provide financial assistance for a cooperative effort to (i) continue development of a delta smelt refugial population as a safeguard against species extinction in the wild, (ii) create a genetically sound population of captive fish for research purposes, and (iii) conduct a series of experiments on smelt physiology, health, condition, and behavior. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this announcement.
