Description

US Department of Interior, National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (SEKI) is entering into Task Agreement J8564100033 with the California Conservation Corps (CCC) for the purpose of providing work on trail maintenance,reconstruction, and associated wildlands restoration. Specifically, to complete universal access improvements to the Zumwalt Meadow Trail, reconstruct failed trail structures in the Cedar Graove and Grant Grove front country areas, reconstruct the East Lake Trail, reconstruct the 8 mile trail segment of the John Muir/Pacific Crest Trail between Vidette Meadow and Forester Pass. In addition,the crew will do annual maintenance such as trail clearing,drainag maintenance, and brushing on trails near the construction projects. Exact work will depend on field conditions and direction given by NPS staff.
