Technical Assistance and Support for Environmental Laboratory Coordination

Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting applications from eligible applicants for technical assistance and support necessary to coordinate preparedness activities of the environmental laboratory sector. These activities will further develop and expand the capability and capacity of environmental laboratories to respond to water contamination events. The successful applicant will serve as the environmental laboratory sector liaison and will provide leadership and support to the environmental laboratory sector. This includes highlighting laboratory capability and capacity issues, prioritizing these issues, and formulating strategies for solutions. The successful applicant will also organize and sponsor conferences and task force/work group meetings, disseminate and share information with environmental laboratories, provide technical assistance through training opportunities, and develop a communication plan that promotes the leveraging of resources in the environmental laboratory sector.
