The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), is pleased to announce that it is seeking applications for funding of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 Public Awareness and Outreach for Victims in Underserved Communities program. This program furthers the Department’s mission by enhancing typically underserved persons’ knowledge about crime victims’ rights and access to crime victims’ services and resources.

Who can apply

• State governments
• County governments
• City or township governments
• Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
• Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
• Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized)
• Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
• Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
• Private institutions of higher education
