Description
This is a matching grant opportunity to enable the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to extend services to underserved populations in hardest-to-reach areas, both urban and non-urban; increase the capacity to prepare and file federal tax returns electronically; heighten quality control; enhance training of volunteers; and significantly improve the accuracy of returns prepared at VITA sites.

- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status (other than higher education)
- Private institutions of higher education
