Description
This is a Notice of Intent to award a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit Task Agreement to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for project titled "Evaluate Changes in Spruce-Fir Forests to Identify Impacts of Exotic Insect and Climate Change". The Principle Investigator for this action is Dr. Jennifer Franklin. This is a new award and the project term is 06/01/2010 to 12/30/2011. The authority under which this task agreement is issued is 16 USC 5933 with CFDA #00.000 applicable to this action. Due to the unique capabilities of the recipient, a single-source award determination has been made for this action. Dr. Franklin has specific expertise in the area of high elevation forest ecology and tree physiology.
