The Project to Avoid Increasing Delinquencies (PAID) initiative was launched in February 2007. Since that time, IV-D agencies have initiated many successful projects that have resulted in an increase in collections and a lessening in the accumulation of arrears. This funding opportunity is offered for the demonstration and evaluation of projects that incorporate PAID strategies of early intervention, setting appropriate orders, review and adjustment of orders, employment service referral, arrears compromise, linkages with access and visitation services while in collaboration with another agency/program. The goal of the project should be to increase efficiencies and improve performance for the child support agency and result in better child support outcomes for families.
