Notice of Intent to Award
ArchivedFish and Wildlife Service
Description
A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD is issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service to Ducks Unlimited according to 505 DM 2.14(B)2 (see attached NOI). No competition is expected. The Service and its partners recognize that addressing climate change and other stressors within and across landscapes are contingent on partnerships that cut across jurisdictions. Benefits of collaborative partnerships, for landscape conservation issues, include providing spatially-explicit scientific analyses and tools that link biological planning, conservation design, conservation delivery, monitoring, and research to address climate change threats and other limiting factors on fish, wildlife and habitats at a landscape level. Ducks Unlimited is currently involved in a partnership effort to analyze the loss of coastal wetlands in Washington and Oregon to sea level rise using the Sea Level Affects Marshes Model (SLAMM).
