Description

This BAA solicits proposals that will support the development of new equipment for screening air cargo consolidated onto pallets (of size 40" x 48" x 60" and up to 3500 lbs.) for the presence of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). These IEDs could be made with a variety of commercial, military, and improvised initiation circuitry, power sources, initiation devices (detonator), and main (explosives) charge material. This screening equipment will be used by airlines or other regulated parties to examine palletized cargo prior to shipment on passenger aircraft.
