BLM OR/WA: Implementation of the Alien Invasion: Plants on the Move Curriculum

Description
Provide opportunities for teachers and other educators to explore and use the Alien Invasion: Plants on the Move curriculum for building conceptual and concrete understanding, knowledge and skills of how weeds impact natural resources; to engage teachers and other educators with local resource managers and local resources; and to identify community-based projects for service learning opportunities. This will be accomplished thorough two week¿long Summer Institutes for Oregon K¿12 educators plus 5, 1¿day Sponsored Workshops using the K¿12 curriculum Alien Invasion: Plants on the Move as the foundation. This objective supports the Bureau¿s Partners Against Weeds Strategy and Action Plan Goals 1) Prevention and Detection and 2) Education and Awareness.
