Description

The BLM is interested in working in conjunction with a variety of school districts and other partner youth-focused nonprofit organizations to enhance the student's classroom learning by providing opportunities to learn about public lands, further their understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources, and pique their interest in natural resource careers. The goals of this project are to engage young adults in environmental education internships to develop and deliver programs that achieve resource management objectives, help connect children with nature, and introduce children to natural and cultural career pathways. The internships may also include a resource management emphasis whereby interns assist with scientific studies or reource-related projects.
