Riverside Corona Feeder Project, Bunker Hill Groundwater Basin
ArchivedBureau of Reclamation - Lower Colorado Region
Description
This Project is to increase firm water supplies by storing excess imported water when it is available, to improve water quality, and to reduce water costs. The project proposes to manage groundwater levels through the construction of groundwater wells and pumps to deliver the groundwater supply to water users. The project will also include a new water pipeline to serve portions of San Bernardino and Riverside counties. This system of storage, extraction and distribution will improve the reliability of the Recipient’s water supply through the managed storage and distribution of excess imported water. It will also reduce possible water shortages during dry years through reduced dependence on imported water during dry year conditions.
