CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Maternal Vitamin D Status and Preterm Birth”. Approximately $450,000 will be available in fiscal year 2011 to fund 1 to 3 awards. The purpose of this announcement is to improve scientific understanding of the relationship between maternal vitamin D status and preterm birth among racially and ethnically diverse women.
