NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND

Description

Provide the U.S. Navy, specifically Naval Base Coronado, with a report of the activities of the federally endangered California Least Tern (CLT) and the federally threatened Western Snowy Plover (WSP) on U.S. Navy owned and leased property including, but not limited to breeding, nesting, and foraging. Naval Amphibious Base Coronado (NAB Coronado) also known as Silver Strand Training Complex North (SSTC-N), Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), and Silver Strand Training Complex South (SSTC-S) formerly known as Naval Radio Receiving Facility (NRRF), are the focus areas for this Agreement. This Agreement shall also provide investigations and preventative measures for the impacts of predation by Gull-billed Terns (Sterna nilotica) Peregrine Falcons (Falco peregrinus) and Burrowing Owls (Athene cunicularia).
