ArchivedAgency for International Development
Description
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Child Survival and Health Grants Program (CSHGP) is seeking effective partnerships with U.S. Private Voluntary Organizations (PVOs)/Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to enable the identification, testing, and scale up of innovative solutions to improve integrated community oriented delivery of health interventions and strengthen the capacity of health systems and their local partners to respond to local needs. Specifically, the FY11 CSHGP RFA Innovation Category seeks innovative, scalable approaches and operations research (OR) focusing on globally and nationally relevant challenges for improving and scaling up the delivery and use of high impact maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) interventions in resource poor settings. Recipients of CSHGP’s innovation awards will become key partners within a wider community of innovators supported by USAID and participate in events aimed at sharing and disseminating innovation solutions. The New Partner category seeks new and diverse partnerships with U.S. PVOs/NGOs who are building technical expertise to implement innovative and effective MNCH programming, in conjunction with their local partners.
