Description
The purpose of this program is to develop and strengthen the support and implementation of HIV prevention, care, support, and treatment services by the Regional Health Bureaus of Oromiya and Harari Regional States and Dire Dawa City Administration of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia that have been initiated under the PEPFAR-funded HHS/CDC clinical services and antiretroviral treatment program. The objective of this funding opportunity announcement is to support and strengthen technical capacity development of these Ethiopian government entities that are responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and supervision of implementing HIV prevention care and treatment activities in the targeted regions of Ethiopia. The aim of this program is to ensure local ownership of HIV/AIDS programs and services and facilitate gradual transition of responsibility for planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing HIV prevention, care and treatment activities to the Regional Health Bureaus.
