This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), solicits grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose to assess intervention studies of the process of disclosure of HIV infection status to children infected and affected by HIV in low-resource settings and for the process of HIV-infected women (and other caretakers) disclosing their HIV status to their children, or both. This area of investigation is neglected, profoundly understudied and of high importance to millions of children and their families in these settings.
