ArchivedEconomic Development Administration
Description
Pursuant to section 703 of PWEDA, EDA announces general policies and application procedures for the FY 2011 Supplemental Appropriations Disaster Relief Opportunity. Subject to the availability of funds, this investment assistance will help devise long-term economic redevelopment strategies and carry out implementation activities and public works projects, as appropriate, to address economic development challenges in regions impacted by certain severe storms and flooding. The Act limits eligibility to disaster declarations that were in response to both “severe storms and flooding during the March through May 2010 time period.” As of the date of the posting of this FFO, the following States have major disaster declarations affecting a sufficient number of counties to meet these eligibility criteria: Rhode Island, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
