CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Evaluation of the Impact of Work or School Exclusion Criteria on the Spread of Influenza and Influenza-like-Illness”. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to facilitate research to determine the effectiveness of different exclusion criteria in preventing influenza-like-illness (ILI) and laboratory-confirmed influenza in either healthcare or non-health care work settings or school settings. The objectives of the studies are to assess the effectiveness of illness exclusion criteria to prevent illnesses in work and/or school settings.
