Description

The primary purpose of this assistance request is to establish a Nigeria-based Field Epidemiology Network by developing and providing broad support for strengthening applied epidemiology in Nigeria and western Africa and strengthening surveillance systems for priority communicable and non-communicable diseases including maternal and child health, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, environmental illnesses and emerging infections, with a specific emphasis on HIV/AIDS.
