ArchivedAgency for Health Care Research and Quality
Description
This FOA solicits Research Program Project Grant (P01) applications from applicant organizations to become a Research Center for Excellence in Clinical Preventive Services with a focus on one of three programmatic areas: (1) patient safety; (2) health equity; or (3) health care system implementation. AHRQ is providing this support for research center grants to foster innovative, synergistic, and targeted research on clinical preventive services. These Centers will complement the efforts of other Federal investments in prevention and public health by focusing on the role of the formal health care system, and primary care in particular, in improving the health of all Americans, in increasing the effectiveness, safety, and efficiency of the health care system, and in improving patient experience, through the implementation of evidence-based clinical preventive services. The goal of this initiative is to support high quality, multidisciplinary programs of innovative research that will move forward the nations emerging National Prevention Strategy.
