BLM-UT Inventory of Mineral Resources including Energy Minerals in the BLM Cedar City Field Office

Archived

Bureau of Land Management

Description

The project will result in the development of an updated, comprehensive and mutually agreed upon energy and mineral potential report, and reasonably foreseeable development scenario for the Cedar City Field Office planning area. The project will provide early and consistent state involvement in the planning process, and avoid the need for future review and comments by the state on the energy and mineral occurrence and development potential reports. The project will allow for the early incorporation of local knowledge and expertise on the geologic and economic conditions in the Cedar City area held by the highly experience UGS staff, and foster relationships of trust and collaboration between the state and federal governments for future planning efforts.
