Description

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) invites eligible entities to submit competitive grant applications for funding of the Supplemental Services for Recently Arrived Refugees program to provide services to newly arriving refugees or sudden and unexpected large secondary migration of refugees where communities are not sufficiently prepared in terms of linguistic or culturally appropriate services and/or do not have sufficient service capacity. This program is solely in support of newly arriving refugees and/or sudden or unexpected secondary migration. The populations described in the application must represent those who have arrived in country within the last two (2) years. Applicants should also view these resources as a temporary augmentation of funds to meet emerging needs of the arriving populations.Modifications: Modifications have been made to the originally posted announcement in sections IV.2, Content and Form of Application Submission, to include page limitation information. The following instruction has been included:The project description is limited to 20 pages to include: objectives and need for assistance, approach, outcomes expected, and organizational capacity. Up to 25 pages are allowable in the appendices to include: third party agreements, letters of support, resumes of current staff and/or position descriptions, organizational charts, logic model, and additional pertinent information.The budget/budget justification should include travel funds covering the cost of an annual two-day grantee workshop in the Washington DC area.Announcement is modified to include "Request an Exemption from Required Electronic Application Submission" in Section IV.2.
