Description

The purpose of the Cooperative Agreement with the United States (U.S.) Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) is to provide fiduciary support to the CDC's Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE) in initiating and managing a diverse portfolio of Tuberculosis (TB)-related programmatic activities in up to 35 countries worldwide. These activities will include all aspects of TB control. CRDF will serve as a fiduciary and administrative agent to (1) liaise with foreign government agencies and non-governmental organizations for the purpose of securing formal approvals and authorizations, (2) set up management systems and logistical procedures, and (3) disburse funds to foreign governmental and non-governmental organizations and individuals, and U.S. domestic non-governmental organizations (sub-recipients) or individuals according to DTBE's requirements. In turn, the sub-recipients in collaboration with CDC will implement TB control-related activities. Based on protocols and work plans developed jointly by CDC, U.S. domestic partners and international counterparts, CRDF will liaise with foreign governments and organizations to obtain all necessary governmental, legal, and organizational authorizations and establish mechanisms to administer project funds and disburse project funds as required by the project's budget.
