Agency for International Development

Description

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks to award a five-year $250 million Cooperative Agreement, Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Envision. USAID intends to expand its support for NTD control in priority countries and to further the development of evidence-based policies and standards globally. This activity will provide USAID and the Bureau for Global Health (GH) with assistance in supporting NTD-endemic countries to scale-up NTD control to reduce the burden of seven of the NTDs that can be targeted in an integrated approach with preventive chemotherapy and to provide global technical leadership. These diseases include lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis), onchocerciasis (river blindness), schistosomiasis (snail fever), three soil transmitted helminthes (hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm), and trachoma.
