BLM OR-WA: Peterson Road - Juniper Dunes Recreation Area Access
ArchivedBureau of Land Management
Description
The principal purpose of this funding is to obtain partial legal public access to BLM lands in the Juniper Dunes Area. The most common access used by the public is Peterson Road, a four mile long road, of which the first two miles are entirely privately owned and without an agreement for public use. This project will provide the funds that Franklin County needs to purchase the critical first 2 miles of Peterson road and improve the road to county standards. The public will benefit by having legal access to the Juniper Dunes Area to pursue and enjoy the recreational opportunities offered.
