A.Project Background Information:This project is intended to be a long term association between BLM and a partner within the Rocky Mountain CESU to provide opportunities to assist the BLM with the location, recordation, evaluation and stabilization of rock shelters and related sites. This project is located in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming and includes the Black Mountain Archeological District. It will compliment current research of rock shelters by conducting geophysical investigations.B.Project Objective: The project objective is to facilitate the management and protection of cultural resources on public lands in the Bighorn Mountains (including the Black Mountain Archaeological District).
