This FOA issued by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, encourages Research Project Grant (R01) applications from institutions and organizations for the purpose of supporting early-phase clinical trials i.e., first-in-human, phase I, or phase II trialsto evaluate innovative and novel cell therapies to treat blood diseases and/or to improve the outcome of hematopoietic stem cell transplantations.
