Description
Notice of intent to award to a single source without competition to The Wildlife Society to increase the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and its various program opportunities, ability to reach a diverse and talented pool of individuals skilled in natural resources management and strategic habitat conservation. This initiative has a core need of developing youth with the appropriate skill sets and interests to become conservation professionals. TWS has a fundamental interest in supporting the professional development of wildlife students for mission critical series and will align this interest with the Department's initiative by employing interns to work with TWS and FWS; encouraging diversity in the profession by sponsoring youth from partnering organizations such as TWS's Native People's Wildlife Management Working Group, College and Education Working Group and the Ethnic and Diversity Working Group.
