Description
The Neurofibromatosis Research Program (NFRP) was established in 1996 to promote the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of neurofibromatosis (NF). The vision of the FY11 NFRP is to find and fund the best research to eradicate the clinical impact of NF. The FY11 NFRP Clinical Consortium Award is intended to support a major goal/product-driven Consortium of exceptional institutions and investigators that will accelerate the clinical translation of basic NF research and ultimately decrease the impact of the disease. The objectives of the Consortium shall be to conceive, design, develop, and conduct collaborative Phase I and II clinical evaluations of promising therapeutic agents for the management or treatment of NF1 and NF2.
