Expanding HIV Training into Graduate Medical Education

Description
The purpose of this FOA is to fund public and nonprofit private entities and schools and academic health science centers including (1) community-based ambulatory patient care centers that operate a primary care residency program, or (2) primary care residency programs based in traditional settings with established continuity of practice programs that are located within a community-based ambulatory care center, within which large numbers of HIV-infected patients receive care, to expand opportunities to train medical residents in HIV/AIDS care and treatment. Funds will support developmental work toward expanding an existing accredited primary care residency program to include an HIV focus.
