Description
The project will contribute both to increased basic understanding and applied science by providing detailed descriptions of physical habitat characteristics, riparian zone conditions, water quality, and the structure of biotic communities in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. As a collaborative project utilizing local university students, faculty, regional National Park Service, and local BLM staffs, we anticipate enhanced interactions among partners that complement environmental science education of local residents and students.
